Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American singer, writer and actress who is well-known for her character Ginger Grant in the 1960s television show Gilligan's Island. The musical Bettle performed in Two's Company was her first stage performance in the 1950s. She then acted in a number of Broadway productions before she became a star on national stage together with Li'l Abner, in the year 1957. Within the same calendar year she debuted her debut music album called This is Tina Time. Her debut appearance into Hollywood was when she played Griselda in God's Little Acre, a 1958 drama. The film received widespread praise. Louise won the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the year category. In the course of this film, she was enrolled into Actors Studio in New York and began a relationship to Lee Strasberg as his student. The year 1964 saw her signing with CBS and portrayed Ginger Grant. Louise kept juggling her career effectively with a variety of roles between Broadway TV and Hollywood acting in somber roles against her perceived image of being a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She has also appeared in SG-1 and Helen Magnus, but in the past few years has made a name as a producer on a variety of well-known TV shows such as Supernatural. She was born in Essex on August 28th 1965. Her family relocated to Toronto when she was just three which is where she spent the rest of her childhood and adolescence. In 1997 after being selected for the role of Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has been living there ever since.
