Ariel Winter is an American singer, actress and voice actor. She was born Ariel Winter Workman in Los Angeles California on January 28th 1998. Ariel Winter started her career acting as a performer when she was just a few years old and was featured in a Cool Whip advertisement when she was just 6 years old. The first time she appeared on TV was on an episode of the CBS show Listen Up! at seven years old. Later on, she played in the likes of Monk Bones or ER. Gretchen was a character on in the Disney Original Channel animated show Phineas and Ferb in 2007. The following year, she got her first live-action performance in the role of Alex Dunphy on the hit TV show Modern Family. Along with the rest of the Modern Family cast have won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding performance by an Ensemble on a Comedy Series four times. Ariel continues to do voice-over work on films such as ParaNorman Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, and Scooby-Doo! Stage Fright. Ariel is a purple Taekwondo belt. Ariel is the youngest of siblings of Shanelle Workman (actor) and Jimmy Workman (actor). She's a musician and performs in the band WickedSweet. Additionally, she is involved with environmental charities working to promote a greener living. In 2012, her sister requested to become her guardian due to the possibility of abuse both mental and physical from her parents. Shanelle took over as Ariel's guardian in 2014.
