Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American Canadian singer and songwriter. She has released many studio records. DiFranco classifies her music under the terms folk-rock and alternative. However, it includes influences like punk, hip-hop and jazz. Ani Difranco has been deemed as a feminist icon and Grammy award-winning. As one of women's first artists of the 1990s, DiFranco created her record label. DiFranco's parents were Elizabeth (Ross), a previous student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each one another while each attending. Her father was Italian descent and her mother was from Montreal. Ani DiFranco composed and sang 32 Flavors. This song appeared on her album Not a Pretty Girl which was released in 1995. On the soundtrack of 1999's Canadian romantic film Better Than Chocolate is a version of the song.
