Hayley Orrantia is she is an American actor, singer and songwriter. The most famous of her roles is Erica Goldberg who stars in The Goldbergs, an American comedy show. While she is a performer, her primary passion is music. Music is always been her primary passion. When she was 12 years old, the art of music was taken seriously enough that she began formal training. Following a few attempts at writing songs, she recorded her first album of music covers when she was fourteen. The rest is history. Orrantia was born in the USA but has Hispanic heritage. Although she was raised speaking solely English and never lived in Mexico she is very happy about her Hispanic heritage. In order to maintain her heritage, she's learned Spanish and composed songs using the language. One such song is "Hasta Verte," which she composed in Spanish. Orrantia was picked to perform for the X Factor's inaugural season during the summer of the year 2011. Orrantia took home the very first season of the X Factor after she submitted an YouTube recording of her audition. She received the four "yes" vote by the judge on the live stage in Seattle. Originally auditioning as a soloist, she and three female vocalists were placed in the final auditions of "Hollywood Week". The group was eliminated at conclusion of the fifth performance.
