Hayley Orrantia is an American actress, singer and songwriter. People are familiar with her because of her character in the role of Erica Goldberg on the popular TV show "The Goldbergs.' While she is a performer, her primary passion is music. She maintains that music is her first passion. It's something she has been dabbling in since the age of nine years old. The first time she began to study professional music when she was twelve. She ventured into songwriting at 13 and was only 14 when she made her first collection of cover songs. It hasn't turned to the past since. Orrantia is of Hispanic heritage, yet was born in USA. While she has never lived in or spoke Spanish in Mexico, she still feels very proud about her Hispanic heritage. In her pursuit of learning Spanish and writing songs, she tries to preserve the tradition. "Hasta Verte," a track she composed in Spanish is one such attempt. Orrantia was a contestant on The X Factor in 2011. The Orrantia's YouTube video was picked and she was awarded four "yeses" which is a vote, from the judges at the Seattle audition. The first time she was auditioning for soloist, she along with three female singers were grouped with three other singers for the last auditions during "Hollywood Week".
